14. Bruceville Road Widening - completed on time/under budget.
15. Phoenix Park project completed/RAC open for services.

Who says home delivery is a thing of the past?

I was out in the yard yesterday and saw a Schwan's delivery truck pull ou to a neighbors house and thought to myself, "Man I use to see deliver trucks of all kinds as a kid growing up by the ocean back East".

Some drivers would bring milk and butter, others would be selling freshly caught fish, some brought ice cream into the neighborhood, etc.

It was the thought of the Ice Cream we kids use to eat from those Ice Cream drivers that caught my attention when I saw that Schwan's truck. So I surprisingly dashed over to talk to the driver.

The driver's name was Max Baker, seemed like a nice guy.
So do yourself a favor and give Max a call (916) 308-8554 or check out the Schwan company website.

There you will learn that Schwan's has been delivering restaurant-quality frozen foods to homes like yours for over 50 years.

Must be doing something right to last 50 years. Check em out.

New homes, Shopping Center to be built in South Sacramento Meadowview area

New homes, Retail stores, jobs and more may finally be on it's way to the Meadowview area after many delays. Sacramento city officials are hoping to finally develop the open land along the 5 freeway just past Meadowview road in south sacramento.

Check out the following link and learn more about the exciting new opportunity for the residents of Meadowview, Pocket and Land Park.

M&H Realty Partners and SunCal Companies to Develop a Master-Planned Community at the Site">

No details are final but I have seen an overlay of the project superimposed on an aerial photograp of the meadowview area and it looks good. But remember this project like so many others needs community support to make it happen.

Contact your local city council person (Bonnie Pannell Distric 8 and Robbie Waters District 7) and help them make this project a reality. Improvements like this in the Meadowview and Pocket areas are bound to be benifical for the entire community.

Meadowviewtoday Blog Debuts

Hey everybody,

Did you get your flyer? Here's your chance to help make a different in our community. Here's your chance to help enhance your investment in this community.

The Meadowview area has had a colorful history according to my neighbors and not the best reputation in times past. But we're not here to focus on the past, we're looking at today and beyond.

Most us are relative newcomers to the Meadowview area and we may not be familiar with the areas' history so I plan to learn as much as I can about the history of South Sacramento and Meadowview and share that information with each of you.

This Blog's main function will be to share information about what's happening in Meadowview and focus on the future.

That's where I will need your help, even though you may be new to the area that doesn't mean you shouldn't get involved in shaping the future.

Share your comments and thoughts with your neighbors. But, be warned I will remove any comments that are extremely negative towards any one individual(s) or organization(s).

Remember we're trying to promote the positive in Meadowview.
